Following growing complaints from U.S. export shippers, the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) sets out new rules to give exporters more transparency on space for exports. This will require ocean carriers to have documented handling procedures for bookings, notify shippers of any schedule and service changes, and ensure adequate loading time for ships.
