U.S. Ports Resume Despite Global Tech Outage

Despite widespread disruptions across industries caused by a massive global technology outage on Friday morning, it’s mostly business as usual at U.S. ports. Most ports, including those in Georgia, Baltimore, Seattle, Virginia, New York and New Jersey, said that they were operating without issue. Port Houston, which handles the most foreign waterborne tonnage in the nation, closed two of its terminals, but reopened them around 9 a.m. with minimal delay to operations.
